London Plan

The London Plan (consolidated with alterations since 2004) is the current edition of the strategic spatial planning document for London. The last alterations to the London Plan were subject to an Examination in Public in June/July 2007.

Sub-regions

The Mayor's five Sub Regional Development Frameworks make many suggestions to boroughs and others on the issues that should be addressed in implementing the London Plan.

Strategic Planning

The Mayor is a statutory consultee for planning applications which are strategically important to London as defined by the Town and Country Planning (Mayor of London) Order 2000 and the Town and Country Planning (Mayor of London) Order 2008.
