Communities and citizens

The London Food Board wants to recast the traditional relationship between Londoners and their food – to see them not just as consumers but as citizens and as part of local communities. To see the relationship in this way links Londoners to the broader impact of their food system on their health, their environment, their culture, their economy and their security. The success of the London Food Board and the Mayor’s Food Strategy relies on the ability to engage and enthuse Londoners to adopt behaviours that are healthier and more sustainable.
