Working towards a hydrogen economy for London and the UK

Hydrogen bus on London's RV1 routeHydrogen is a universal fuel that will play a major role in our clean, sustainable energy future. Coupled with fuel cells, hydrogen will increasingly provide us all with clean and quiet energy to power our cars, buses, mobile phones, laptops, home generators, and local power stations.

The London Hydrogen Partnership is working to bring this technology forward in the capital so as to improve energy security and air quality, reduce greenhouse gases and noise, and support London's green economy.

See our hydrogen and fuel cells page for a quick introduction to this technology.

Visit the London Schools Hydrogen Challenge website for information about the LHP's education work.
