Description of park

Little Wormwood Scrubs is a small park located in the north east corner of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, managed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It comprises a large area of grass, woodland, scattered trees and a young children’s playground.

How the park is being improved

The aim is to improve the park’s basic amenities to enhance access and make the park more welcoming to encourage local residents to visit.

The Mayor is helping to fund improvements to Little Wormwood Scrubs including:

• Reconstruction of perimeter footpath
• New park furniture including litter bins and benches
• A new ornamental garden
• Refurbishment of main entrance
• Installation of outdoor gym
• Provision of companion cycles
• Enhanced play area next to café
• Meadow improvements to improve biodiversity value
• New works yard with toilets and changing facilities

Progress

All of the improvements are now completed and the newly improved park is ready to be enjoyed by all.
