Better Green and Water Spaces: Practical Steps

London is one of the greenest big cities in the world.

London's wide variety of green spaces, rivers and canals are some of the defining characteristics of this great city. They range from garden squares and metropolitan parks to sweeping natural landscapes; heaths, commons and marshlands. The River Thames and tributaries are now being rediscovered as London's other great resource.

To support the Mayor's vision for London's Great Outdoors 'Better Green and Water Spaces' sets out his programme to improve, create and increase access to our parks, green spaces, rivers and canals.
