2009/10 budget

2009-10 Capital Spending Plan

The Mayor is required, under section 122 of the Greater London Authority (GLA) Act 1999, to prepare, for each financial year, a capital spending plan for the functional bodies: Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA), London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), Transport for London (TfL) and London Development Agency (LDA).

The Greater London Authority's consolidated budget 2009/10

The Mayor's 2009/10 budget was agreed on 11 February 2009. The budget requirement for 2009-10 is £3,203.8 million and the band D council tax for this budget is £309.82 an increase of 0% over the 2008/09 budget.

The Mayor published his draft consolidated budget for 2009/10 on 20 January 2009. It is in three parts:

Capital Spending Plan

The Mayor has prepared a draft Capital Spending Plan under section 122 of the Greater London Authority (GLA) Act 1999 for the functional bodies: Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA), London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), Transport for London (TfL) and London Development Agency (LDA). The final plan must be determined before 28 February.

Consultation budget

On 11 December 2008 the Mayor published his consultation budget for the GLA and functional bodies for 2009/10:
