Critical Incident Management Scenario TrainingProject aims: To train the trainers from community or estate-based groups in Critical Incident Management Training. The workshops cover issues such as risk assessment, financial implications, politics, human rights, litigation and equality. Another aim of the project is to identify knowledge gaps regarding the management of critical incidents, and agree the way forward in terms of training, systems, policies, procedures and protocols in the borough of Hackney. Lead organisation(s): LB Hackney Community Safety Team. Client group: Young people and adults who work with young people in the community and estate-based settings, Family Welfare Associations, Housing Associations and the Anti-Social Behaviour Intervention Team from LB Hackney. Programme delivery: The programme included gaining an understanding of what constitutes a critical incident, developing awareness of the practical steps required to effectively and safely manage a critical incident and creating an awareness within organisations of the need for integrated risk plans.
