Barnet Action 4 Youth (BA4Y)- Communications, Results, Action Committee (CRAC)Project aims: The project has numerous aims, including addressing the crime and safety issues of concern to young people, encouraging positive relations between the police and young people, informing the young people of policing issues/laws that concern them, and involving young people in tackling crime and community safety issues. Lead organisation: Crime Concern. Client group: Young people aged 11-21 across Barnet. Programme delivery: CRAC was established in April 2003 and now meets fortnightly. The group has produced a series of information leaflets aimed at young people: for example, 20,000 leaflets and 500 posters were distributed during May 2005, in schools, youth centres, fast food outlets, leisure centres, Connexions centres and other venues popular with young people. The young people work on a project during the academic year and are able to also partake in the Youth Achievement Award.
