Map of the Victoria Park hub

All the hubs are open from 8:30am this year and are an ideal place to meet up with friends before setting off for the central route or providing a space for a breather for those of you cycling in from further afield.

At each hub, there will be a Sky Sports marquee where you will be able to collect your official hi-vis vest/bib for the day's cycling. Make sure you collect yours - they are becoming collector's items. We have seen some of last year's vests being sold on eBay for literally pounds... !

Once you've picked up your vest and seen what amazing offers Sky have for you, you can visit the London Cycling Campaign meeting point and sign up for a marshalled departure into the central route. The more adventurous of you can, of course set off on your own. The routes are all clearly sign-posted and there are foot marshals at key junctions to guide you on your way or provide assistance where needed.

To kick you off on your Journey to the Centre of London, each hub will once again feature the incredibly technical Freewheel Funnel System(TM). As you cycle through the funnel, you will be serenaded by the official Capital Radio PA system - give a shout to the compere as you pass!

The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham are kindly providing "Dr. Bike" instructors between 9:30am - 1:30pm, a pedal powered smoothie maker (blueberry for me, please) and local borough-related cycling information for visitors to Ravenscourt Park.

It is worth planning your day out. Last year the main congestion on the central route happened during the middle of the day, so the hubs and route are open much earlier this year to allow the insomniacs and those with kids who get up early to watch CBBC amongst you to get out and onto the route and work up a healthy appetite before the Saturday night party set (and students) decide to join in...

Either way, the hubs are open until 5:30pm - with signposts to and from the central route, in case you decide not to make use of the regular cycle marshal escorts.

Whatever your choice - have a fun day on your bike!
