Spend a day with your bike

September 21st 2008 is confirmed as this year's Sky Sports London Freewheel, the day when Londoners can dig into their sheds, cupboards and lofts, dust off their bikes and enjoy cycling for the day around a traffic-free London.

  • Central Route closed to cars for the day
  • Open to cycles 09:30 - 16:30

Sign up now to be part of a carnival atmosphere, taking in views of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace and more.

Hubs at the Emirates Stadium, Clapham Common, Victoria Park and Ravenscourt Park will provide a rest and refreshment point on the way in to the central route which will feature entertainment including music, cycling angels, jugglers and more.

Less confident cyclists can sign up to join one of the local rides and start the journey from their borough to it's the city's heart.

Sky Sports London Freewheel is once again free to register and attend. Last year, over 38,000 bikes descended on the city's streets, and this year's event promises to be bigger and better still!
