Eco London
Dinesh
Langdon School

Eco London
The tree resurrected from the bottom of the plinth all with the top being new as gold. The tree shows the growth of economical changes throughout London. This represents the green of the parks in London and London is becoming greener. It celebrates these famous parks of London. Parks in city centres are very important and we should value these spaces.

My creation is a bird sitting on a brick wall. I created this because I was inspired by the amount of birds in London and nobody ever takes any notice of them so I thought by doing this people would take more notice of them. I call this Magpie Millions.

Giant Scone
Andrew
Hampton School

The scone is a traditional English tradition for tea parties and large gatherings. The scone only made significant headway to England from Scotland at beginning of the 19th century, which was when the Napoleonic War was taking place. The scone really links to that era and relates to the original statues in Trafalagar Square and is a monument to Britishness. Therfore I think my Giant Scone is a relevant, original and exciting artwork for the Fourth Plinth.

My Identity
Deea
Willowfield Humanities College

I have produced a fun design for the 4th plinth based on a face shape. This design represents me because it contains symbols such as the Romanian flag, my age and the Christian cross. I have also decorated it with flowers, the sun, music and sweets as like most teenagers, these are some of my favourite things.

Oasis Sustainable Allotment
Class 5S
Furzedown Primary School

Pupils in Class 5S designed artworks for the 4th plinth, we then took elements from each of the designs to create An Oasis in the middle of central London. The children wanted to depict issued that were important to them. The 4th Plinth has been turned into a sustainable allotment, with windmills and solar panels to generate energy and feed back into the National Grid. The base of the plinth has 2 recycling banks, a water butt has been attached to the side, so that rainwater can be used to water the vegetable garden.
