Paying tribute to David Morris

David joined the GLA in 2002, working in the Equalities Team before becoming Senior Policy Advisor on Disability to the Mayor. Since last year, David had been on secondment to the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) as External Access and Inclusion Coordinator, where he has played a key role in diversity and inclusion work in the build up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, for which the commitment is to ensure London is accessible and inclusive to athletes and visitors alike in 2012. David also worked tirelessly over a number of years in the disability rights movement in the UK. In addition, he wrote a regular blog for the London 2012 website.

David will be remembered by all his colleagues at City Hall and LOCOG for the remarkable contribution he made and for his determination to make a real difference. He will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
