Upper Lee Valley Opportunity Area Planning Framework
The draft Upper Lee Valley Opportunity Area Planning Framework (ULV OAPF) covers an area of around 3,884 hectares of north London running from the M25 in the north to Lea Bridge Road in the south. It covers four local authority boundaries and proposes five overarching development principles. These are:
- Opening up the Lee Valley Regional Park
- Creating a new industrial geography
- Housing and mixed-use development in the growth areas
- New sustainable low carbon mixed-use communities
- Connecting existing communities to opportunities
Growth within the opportunity area is focused in four areas. These are:
- Tottenham Hale and Blackhorse Lane
- Meridian Water in Central Leeside
- Ponders End
- The A1010 corridor
It is available to download below, along with the Integrated Impact Assessment. The Framework is in one very large PDF file and an RTF (text only) file, and is also available in PDF as separate chapters.
The consultation period runs from 18 November 2011 to 13 January 2012, and any comments should be sent by email to the Mayor at: ULVOAPF@london.gov.uk, or by letter to the Mayor of London, City Hall, The Queens Walk, London, SE1 2AA.
