Vertical Growing spaces.
A cost effective use of roof space could save Millions. Where there are larger roof spaces Vertical Greenhouses could be built. These would house stacks upon stacks of vegetables grown in nutrients that produce bug free salads, vegetables and other herbs. The effects of building these vertical greenhouses are as follows. Any heat leaking from the building below would be harnessed within the greenhouse. The food grown would purify the air around it and suck up pollutants. Imagine your office block smelling of MINT. The food grown could be sold locally saving absolutely millions in fuel and transport costs and the food would be fresh. Labour costs are low. On certain buildings Wind generators and solar panels could be installed to make the projects more efficient and the stored electricity can be used to add growing hours to the greenhouse in the winter. Imagine if the Barclays group had its own Tower Greenhouse, every day they could get fresh salad giving them better nutrition which would enable them to make better decisions and their waistlines would shrink and the workforce would be happy. + 1 comments |
