Climate Change Adaptation Strategy

How can we make a difference? A lot of us we were taught to save those bottle tops, return pop bottles, egg cartons, old buttons were collected and new floor cloths were old pyjamas but always useful. We combed the beaches for wood, we looked in the second hand shops for tools. Money was not the only currency; ingenuity and improvisation were valued, respected and necessary skills. A few vegetables growing in the garden or on the balcony or at our childrens’ school would be a good start and fun for all. A water butt for the flowers and tomatoes. A song sung around the kitchen sink as we all wash up together. Washing on the linealways smelt so good and our washing basket was not an excuse for not folding the days clothes. A little thought will go a long way to helping us conserve energy, value water and enjoy life. Walk a little more, cycle when you can and let our planet breathe.
