Q1: How do I post my idea about climate change adaptation?
A1: To submit your idea simply click the add your idea to the list button on the right hand side of the homepage. You will first be asked to register your email, user name and password and to upload a picture (you can come back to this). Once this is completed you will be asked to submit your idea. To do this give your idea a title (this will appear in the coloured text box underneath your picture), choose the theme your idea relates to from the drop down list (flood, heatwave, drought, energy, other) and then write your idea in the text box provided. Click on the submit your idea button and your card will appear on the homepage.

Q2: How do I see the ideas already posted by Londoners?
A2: All the ideas posted by Londoners are availiable to view on the homepage. Scroll through using the arrows on the left and right of the page. You can also sort the ideas by theme or find the most popular using the buttons above the cards on the homepage.

Q3: How do I post a link an idea on my favourite social networking site?
A3: Posting a link on your favourite social networking site couldn’t be easier. Simply click on one of the popular networking site icons at the bottom of the idea you like. This will post a link directly onto your own profile page.

Q4: How do I have my say on the ideas that others have already provided?
A4: Simply click on the +add a comment button on the idea you want to comment on. If you’re not already registered or signed in you will be asked to provide these details. You can then post a comment in the text box provided.
Alternatively simply tell us whether or not you would do the idea posted using the thumbs up/down icons. This requires no registration and will help us choose the best ideas.

Q5: How long have I got to post my ideas and comments?
A5: The consultation launches during the first week in February 2010 and will close the first week in May 2010.

Q6: What will happen to my idea once the consultation is finished?
A6: The best ideas will be included in the final climate change adaptation strategy. We will be using the thumbs up or thumbs down ratings given to ideas by users to help us pick the best ones.
