It’s cold and grey outside, so what better time to announce our winner of this summer’s photo competition?

We asked you to take a great pic of London celebrating during this summer like no other. Over nine weeks, we received a fantastic 1,662 entries and gave away nine Panasonic Lumix S3 cameras.

These nine winning entries along with three ‘wild card’ images were later put forward for the grand prize.

We’re delighted to announce Christopher Washington is the overall competition winner and scoops a special limited edition Panasonic Lumix G3 D-SLR camera.

His image of the Olympic rings on the river and Houses of Parliament at night wowed the judges and we hope he’ll take many more great photos with his fantastic prize.
