In May 2011, the Mayor launched a series of ‘Business Bootcamps’ aimed at helping London’s budding entrepreneurs.
Business Bootcamps
The tailor-made sessions will give around 1,000 new entrepreneurs the chance to develop the key skills they need to build a successful business in sectors ranging from digital to fashion, hospitality, entertainment, creative and bio-tech.
The programme has been set up with £275k funding from Royal Bank of Scotland and is coordinated by Capital Enterprise, the body for enterprise support providers in London.
Over the coming year there will be 27 Business Bootcamps, with between 25-50 places available at each. The events will be run by established business people and industry experts at some of London’s leading universities training colleges, universities and other professional bodies.
Participants will benefit from the latest ‘insider knowledge’ in their chosen field, gain valuable networking opportunities and access contacts that will help them get their businesses up and running successfully.
