Mayor answers to London

Suggest a question

London Assembly Members question the Mayor, in public, in order to hold him to account. There are 10 Mayor's Question Time meetings every year. Questions cover the full range of the Greater London Authority's duties (police, the fire service, regeneration and transport) and can range beyond into almost any issue of concern to London. Questions need to be relevant and topical.

Only Assembly Members can put questions to the Mayor, but you can suggest a question to be asked by emailing suggestaquestion@london.gov.uk. Please state whether you would like your question to be forwarded to a particular Assembly Member or to a political group (Conservative, Green, Labour, Liberal Democrat). Single hard-hitting questions are best. If you are asking about something complex, try to reduce it to a few clear questions.

If you do not specify a Member or a party we will refer your question to the Chair of the London Assembly.
