A meeting of the Assembly will be held to deal with the business listed below. This meeting will be open to the public. There is access for disabled people, and induction loops are available.

1. Apologies for Absence and Chair's Announcements
The Assembly will receive any apologies for absence and any announcements from the Chair.
2. Declarations of Interests
Recommendations:
(a) That the list of memberships of functional bodies and London Borough Councils, as set out in the table at item 2, be noted; and
(b) That all Members declare any other personal or personal prejudicial interests in specific items listed on the agenda over and above those items listed in the table at item 2, including interests arising from any gifts or hospitality received since 12 September 2007.
3. Project Funding
Part A:
The Assembly will put questions to the following in relation to the allegations
recently made regarding the London Development Agency, the reports published
in response to those allegations and arising from statements made in connection
with organisations that had received funding from the Greater London Authority,
and the related issues arising in relation to value for money for Londoners:
- Anthony Mayer (Chief Executive, Greater London Authority);
- Martin Clarke (Executive Director, Finance and Performance, Greater
London Authority);
- Manny Lewis (Chief Executive, London Development Agency);
- Mary Reilly (Chair, London Development Agency); and
- Andrew Travers (Group Director, London Development Agency)
At the close of the question and answer session with the above guests the
meeting will be adjourned and reconvened at 5.30pm.
Part B:
The Assembly will put questions to the Mayor in relation to the allegations
recently made regarding the London Development Agency, the reports published
in response to those allegations and arising from statements made in connection
with organisations that had received funding from the Greater London Authority,
and the related issues arising in relation to value for money for Londoners.
Part C:
The Assembly will debate the following motion submitted in the name of
the Chair:
“That the Assembly notes the answers to the questions asked.”
Supplementary
The attached documentation consists of extracts from documents summonsed by the London Assembly from the London Development Agency and the GLA in relation to their funding of the 12 organisations listed in the terms of reference of the LDA’s review of January 2008.
The Chair, in accordance with section 100(B)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), has agreed to accept documents as urgent business in order to allow their consideration at the very earliest opportunity.
4. Date of Next Meeting
To note that the next meeting of the London Assembly (Plenary, that will
be devoted to consideration of the Mayor’s 2008-09 Final Draft Consolidated
Budget proposals for the GLA Group) will be held on Wednesday 13 February
2008 at 10.00am in the Chamber, City Hall.
