1. Apologies for Absence and Chair’s Announcements
To receive any apologies for absence and any announcements from the Chair.
2. Declarations of Interests
Recommendations:
- That the list of memberships of functional bodies and London Borough Councils, as set out in the table at Item 2, be noted;
- That gifts and hospitality received by Members, as set out on the Authority’s gifts and hospitality register, be noted; and
- That all Members declare any other personal or personal prejudicial interests in specific items listed on the agenda over and above those items listed in the table at Item 2 and including any interests arising from gifts or hospitality received since 12 September 2007 or, if elected after 12 September 2007, from the date of election to the London Assembly which are not at the time of this meeting reflected on the Authority’s register of gifts and hospitality.
3. Metropolitan Police Authority and Metropolitan Police Service: Question and Answer Session
Part A:
The Assembly will put questions to the Mayor (in his capacity as Chair of the Metropolitan Police Authority) and Sir Paul Stephenson (in his capacity as Acting Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis) on the work and priorities of the Metropolitan Police Authority and Metropolitan Police Service.
Note: The Deputy Commissioner, Sir Paul Stephenson, is due to take up the role of Acting Commissioner on 1 December 2008.
Part B:
The Assembly will debate the following motion submitted in the name of the Chair:
That the Assembly notes the answers to the questions asked.
4. London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority: Functional Body Question Time
Part A:
The Assembly will put questions to Brian Coleman AM (Chairman, London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority) and Ron Dobson (Commissioner, London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority) on the work and priorities of LFEPA.
Part B
The Assembly will debate the following motion submitted in the name of the Chair:
That the Assembly notes the answers to the questions asked.
5. Action Taken Under Delegated Authority
Report of the Executive Director of Secretariat
Recommendation: that the Assembly notes action taken by the Chair of the Assembly under delegated authority, namely to appoint
Andrew Boff AM and Steve O’Connell AM as Members of the Assembly’s Youth Strategy Response Panel.
6. Motions
Report of the Executive Director of Secretariat
To consider the motions submitted by Assembly Members.
7. Date of Next Meeting
The next scheduled meeting of the London Assembly will be the Mayor’s Question Time meeting, which will take place at 10.00am on Wednesday 17 December 2008 in the Chamber, City Hall.
