Errata - draft London PlanTwo reports ('Safeguarded wharves on the River Thames' and 'Strategic support facilities on the River Thames') were both erroneously cited in the draft London Plan as published May 2002. Neither report has been completed nor published to date, nor will be available during the current consultation period. However they relate to the implementation, rather than the development of policy. There is an existing policy framework for the safeguarding of wharves, along with a series of safeguarded sites, which was issued, and can only be amended, by the Secretary of State. Given their site-specific nature, these reports do not form part of the London Plan. They are important, and will therefore be subject to an entirely separate consultation period following their publication, anticipated later in the Autumn. The Mayor will not make any recommendations to the Secretary of State to change the list of sites to be safeguarded until he has consulted fully with boroughs and other London stakeholders on the findings of GLA research.
